1. YOU CAN'T DATE AN UNBELIEVER (2 Corinthians 6 :14)

It is very important to prioritized this when it comes to dating as a Christian. Even people you share not the same doctrine within the Christendom.

2. SEXUAL PURITY SHOULD BE A PRIORITY

If you want to have control over your destiny, don't sleep around. (1 Thessalonians 4:3)

3. HAVE MARRIAGE IN MIND

Don't push yourself into dating when you are not ready for marriage.

4. BUILD AND LOOK OUT FOR CHARACTER

"BUILD" is for you and "LOOK OUT" is for the other person. Ask yourself this question, if we give you a person just like you, will you like to marry that person?

This is why is paramount that you Build yourself and your character and look out for the character of the person you want to date.

5. BE FINANCIALLY PREPARED

Build up your financial muscles and make sure you are financially capable and grounded.

6. LEARN ABOUT MARRIAGE

Get enough knowledge about marriage and learn as much as you could from an exemplary married couple, books and marriage conferences and seminars.

7. RELY ON THE HOLY GHOST

(Genesis 24) just as Abraham's servant rely on the God of his master Abraham to help him find a wife for Isaac, we can also learn from that and rely on the leadings of the Holy Spirit.

8. AVOID ANY APPEARANCE OF EVIL AND LUSTFUL CONVERSATION

Avoid anything that may seduce you into fornication and other sexual immoralities that may compromise your walk with God.

9. BE PATIENT

Getting a life partner is not for boys and girls and is something we don't joke with. Be patient and very thoughtful about it before you jump into it.
